The Sahara has a remarkable power. It lies in its vastness, its silence, the raw beauty of its landscapes, and the simple rhythm of life shaped by the sun and wind. It is difficult to describe, yet easy to feel after spending a few days in the desert, far away from the rush of everyday life and everything that usually occupies our minds.
This is exactly the power we are setting out to find.
Join us for eight days of adventure through some of the most fascinating natural areas of the Moroccan Sahara. We will cross sandy dunes, vast desert plains, the dry bed of an ancient lake, and rugged rocky landscapes. We will visit places without roads or permanent settlements, where the landscape has been shaped for centuries by wind, water, and sunshine.
Part of the journey will be on foot, accompanied by a camel caravan, while other sections will be travelled in 4×4 vehicles. We will spend our nights in both the comfortable Desert Camp Chraika and remote wild camps beneath the stars. Along the way, we will discover the Sahara’s wildlife, extraordinary landscapes, and the people who call this desert home.
This expedition is for those who love being on the move, discovering places beyond the usual tourist trails, and embracing a few days of simple, nomadic living. For those who want to walk for hours, immerse themselves in wide-open spaces, reconnect with nature, and return home with renewed energy.
This expedition combines a road journey through southern Morocco, a multi-day trek across the Sahara, and a 4×4 safari through the remote landscapes of Iriki National Park.
For three days, we will travel on foot while camels carry our luggage and camping equipment. Each participant needs only a small daypack with the essentials required throughout the day.
We set off after breakfast and take a longer break around midday for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, we reach our campsite, where our support team prepares meals and organises the camp.
Wild campsites have no bathrooms, showers, or electricity. We sleep in tents or under the open sky, on sleeping mats, using our own sleeping bags.
This is not a technical trek, but walking on sand requires effort. Daily distances and pace will be adjusted to the group’s abilities and weather conditions.
This journey is designed for people who enjoy active travel, long walks, and close contact with nature.
You do not need previous desert trekking experience, but you should be prepared for several hours of walking each day, uneven terrain, and basic camping conditions.
It is also an invitation for anyone who feels they need a little more space in their life.
We do not organise workshops, personal development sessions, or special practices. The desert itself offers everything we need: movement, silence, contact with nature, simple daily activities, and TIME.
We will be accompanied by local guides who have known the Sahara since childhood and will take us to places that are difficult to reach independently.

Meals during the tour include carefully selected dishes prepared from fresh, local ingredients. Each day, participants can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner that combine traditional regional flavors with light, balanced cuisine. This way, your journey becomes not only an adventure but also a culinary experience.

Yes. You do not need previous desert trekking experience, but you should be comfortable walking for several hours a day on sandy and uneven terrain. A reasonable level of fitness and an open mind are essential.
The expedition includes three days of walking through the Sahara with a camel caravan and another two with more relaxed walks around the base camp near Foum Zguid. We will walk for 5-6 hours each day, with breaks for lunch and rest. The pace will be adapted to the group and weather conditions.
No. During the desert trek, camels carry the main luggage, food supplies, and camping equipment. You only need a small daypack with water, sun protection, and personal essentials for the day.
We will spend seven nights in total, including accommodation in Marrakech, a comfortable stay at Desert Camp Chraika, and nights at remote desert campsites. During wild camping, you can sleep in a tent or under the open sky.
Wild camping is simple and close to nature. There are no bathrooms, showers, or electricity at the remote campsites. We will stop by desert wells to take small showers – we heat up the water and find a private place (which is not difficult in the desert).
Sleeping mats are provided, but you need to bring your own sleeping bag suitable for cool desert nights.
Our local team will prepare fresh, wholesome meals during the desert trek. We serve 3 hot meals a day. We will share food and Moroccan mint tea along the way. Details of meals included during the road journey and hotel stays will be confirmed before departure. Please let us know in advance about any dietary requirements.
February generally brings pleasant daytime temperatures in southern Morocco, although conditions can vary. Desert nights can be cold, especially in open camping areas. Bring layers, warm clothing for the evenings, and a sleeping bag suitable for low nighttime temperatures.
Coverage may be limited or unavailable in remote areas. We recommend informing family or friends that you may not be reachable throughout the trek and bringing a power bank for use when charging is possible.
We recommend comfortable walking shoes, breathable clothing, warm layers for cold evenings, a sun hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, a small daypack, personal toiletries, and a suitable sleeping bag. A detailed packing list will be provided before departure.
Yes, basic travel insurance is included in the trip price, with coverage of up to €40,000, in accordance with the insurance requirements applicable to our tour operator (OT). If you require a higher level of coverage, particularly for medical expenses, trekking activities, or emergency evacuation and rescue, you can arrange additional insurance independently or request an extended policy for an additional fee.
We recommend checking the policy details carefully to ensure that the coverage meets your individual needs and includes all activities planned during the expedition.
